How do I put free ring tones on Incredible. I never have put ring tones on a phone before.

While I do not have my Incredible, yet, there is an app called Ringdroid that lets you create ring tones from songs on your phone directly, as far as I understood it. One of my first things to download once I get it tomorrow.

I convert the audio into ringtones using Audacity and then connect the incredible as hard drive and then drag and drop the files (i created a "Ring Tones" folder but there might be one there already)

I guess if you want to make your own but.... If you want just to download little big town boondocks then ringdroid is not better. The one I posted is not for making your own. Its for downloading any song out there.

Create a folder on the ROOT level of your SD card called RINGTONES and just drop your MP3's or other audio files in there!

Here are the instructions from the owner's manual:
Choose from the available selections of ringtones on your phone.
Press HOME > MENU, and then tap Settings.
Tap Personalize > Default ringtone. The Phone ringtone selection menu then opens.
Scroll through the available ringtones and tap the ringtone you want to use. The ringtone briefly plays when selected.
Tap OK.

You can also download or copy ringtones or songs to your phone

Ringdroid - Android app on AppBrain

No need for ringdroid if you are using mp3 format. Incredible has a built in ringtone maker.

Just play the song in the music player. Choose settings>set as ring tone>trim the ringtone.
