Help Alarm Clock not turning off

Hi Everyone,

I use the alarm clock on the Incredible as my main method of waking me up in the morning. I also have a tendency to hit the snooze button quite a few times before I can get my lazy butt out of bed.

I've noticed on 3 occasions now that when the alarm is going off and I try to hit snooze button or "dismiss" button and it's not available. So the alarm is going off and I'm frantically trying to find a button to shut it off. Pressing every button doesn't work so I have to finally shut the phone off.

Has anyone else had this issue as well? I've tried to replicate it sitting in front of me a few minutes ago and I can't do it.

On one occasion, I noticed that I got a text message when I was trying to find the "dismiss" button. NOt sure if the text message alert had something to do with it.

I just had the same thing happen to me this morning. No way to silence it that I could find. Tried silencing the phone even and that didn't work. Ended up doing the same as you and shut the phone down to silence it. The first time I used it, it worked fine. The difference this time over last time is that last time I had it in "night" mode on the alarm clock screen where I didn't this time. Wonder if it has to be in that mode?

You can set the volume rockers to dismiss or snooze. Also, when the alarm goes off it should say "Swipe to turn off" on the screen, with a snooze button underneath it.

The only issue I had was when I hit snooze, I didn't know how to turn off the snooze in the middle of the time frame. I woke up before the 2nd snooze alarm would have gone off and there was no option to just stop it from ringing again. I had to turn off the alarm completely.

This happened to me this morning too! The first time, I was able to hit the snooze button. The second time, I had another notification come through at the same time and that caused the snooze / dismiss button to disappear. Had to shut the phone off to get it to reset.

Try Alarmed Lite App. You have to solve a math problem to shut the alarm off. Easy problems, but not when you first wake up.

It seems like a design flaw to me.

You can set the side button to snooze, but this doesn't work if the screen is locked...which it would be if you were sleeping before the alarm went off. You'd have to be using the phone right then, which means you wouldn't need an alarm. Now I know that with the phone being charged, the screen will stay on and unlocked, but who would leave the screen like that in a dark room (like a nightlight)?

Like the other poster said though, the top sleep button on the phone actually works as the snooze button. It's just not as natural for me to hit that button since I'm used to hitting side rocker buttons on my previous LG flip phones to snooze.
