Wi-fi password problems

Sorry guys, I expect that this is a rather basic question for you youngsters. But I am trying to link my Desire to my wireless network at home.

It is WEP protected and the Desire keeps on asking me to enter a password.

Now, it is a year since I set up the network and I can't even remember needing a password, let alone, what it is!

Does anyone know how I can retrieve the password, maybe from my laptop. I've looked and can't find it. Or is this a daft question?

Cheers

Do it on your pc. Use the username & password for your router unless you changed it from default

I think I'm stuffed, it looks like I have changed my default as it doesn't work. I can't understand why I would hve done this as I always tend to leave this sort of thing as default.

By the way it is WPA2 protected, if that helps and it is a 300n router.

Maybe, I 'll have to set it up the whole network again?
