Post update - selecting multiple contacts in text

This might just be me being picky, but... after the update yesterday, when I go to select multiple contacts to send a text to it now gives a list of EVERYONE in my phone book and facebook friends listing their home/email/cell phone numbers all individually, which caused the list to go from about 50 names to scroll through to over 300. Now before the update when I went to select multiple contacts to send a text to it was just the list of the people who's phone numbers I have in my phone. (BTW, this is the stock messaging feature, not an app or any of that). I've looked for hours for a setting to only show phone numbers and not to show facebook contacts in the text selection but no luck at all. Can you guys help a semi tech savvy guy out here? Thanks in advance!!!

Not sure but I think in the message settings you can choose to only show contacts with phone #'s or mobile #'s or something Luke that. The upgrade probably sent the app back to default settings of SHOWING ALL contacts, not just ones with phone #'s.

Hope I remembered that right. I think it happened to me when I installed each of the leaks.

That's what I thought too, but I don't see that anywhere in the settings under messages or in any of the general settings.

Like many, I have been very frustrated with the sheer number of multiple contacts for the same person when I go to send a message, resulting in endless scrolling through hundreds of points of contact information. After much trial and error, here's the closest thing I have found to fixing this. When searching for a contact without all of the points of contact clutter, here's the fastest way that I discovered:

Messages
New message
Tap the people icon at the top right of the screen
Tap the search (capacitive button)

All of your contacts are now condensed under one name per person. Yes, you will need to do this every time that you want to send a message, but it definitely eliminates having to scroll through hundreds of names and all of their points of contact.
