Help camera and camcorder probs

hi frnds,
Whenever m clicking a pic, its not getting saved and also my camcorder is not working ....phone notifies ''hardware failure''. I am getting al these troubles after i got my phone OS updated to 2.1. Plz help....

Could be a genuine hardware fault, not necessarily induced by upgrade to 2.1.

What firmware did you install?

Have you checked your SD card in another deivce, or USB adapter for PC.

You could try a factory reset. Backup your contacts/Calend first

Thanks ya it can be a potential hardware fault, I m going to d service center tomorrow.
my firmware is2.1 update 1, baseband no i570EDDJC5, kernel version 2.6.29 shu.co@SE-S605#2, build no ECLAIR.DDJC5.
ya I checked my SD card and USB adaptor.

if i do a factory reset, the 2.1 OS will be retained or the phone will go bck to 1.5. Plz guide

Factory reset, deletes contacts, calander and emails. And removes all apps.
Depending on your firmware, may also delete APN settings.

Sync Your calander to Gmail.

You can backup contacts to your gmail account, or from within Contacts
Menu
Import/Export.
