Incredible, just about useless

You see it quite easy for me to spot people making up things when they have absolutely no relation to the topic at hand. For example it was quite easy to see you have never even touched the Inc or many other phones out there otherwise you would have known there is no difference in readability and would have no posted the misinformation that you posted. I loved how you called it a "well known major flaw". I just had to laugh because if that was a major flaw then EVEN screen out there would be flawed and defective. Too funny IMO.

Haha. Well then, I guess I have no choice but to meekly bow out of this thread, seeing as how you've conclusively proven that I've never used the Incredible or many other phones. Thanks.

In the sun light, Especially with Polarized glasses. I cant see the screen at all. Its just about useless in the sun.

i just turn my brightness to max setting. This usually solves the problem. It's still not as good as my storm used to be in bright sunlight but it gets the job done.

Hold it at an angle and the readability should improve, if it's in direct sunlight then of course it will be washed out (most mobile devices are)

Here is a comparison. HTC INc at full brightness against a low-end Motorola android phone.

You may have an issue there, possibly the protector? My screen on full brightness is just as bright as my LCD TV or monitor.

Makes no difference w/ or w/out screen protector. I can post 3 different INC (if I can my friends and relatives in one place), and all three will exhibit the same behavior. Unless there is a batch issue.

Like I said, the screen is amazing indoors and useable in the shade. But you can't compare it to other high quality LCD in direct sunlight. So instead of just making comments, I hope that picture illustrates a point or people just to fanboish to not accept the fact.

Your Incredible is definitely not at full brightness in this photo..... My Incredible is way brighter and vibrant than any LCD screen I have used indoors. You probably still have Auto-Brightness enabled.

i have noticed the same thing, phone is very hard to see outside (not matter what angle) with auto brightness on. turn the brightness up all the way and it is very usable.

Get an EVO or wait for the Galaxy S. Otherwise, kwitcherbitchin.

Galaxy S is also AMOLED, so it's the same as Inc.
