Hope the title isn't too confusing but i'll elaborate anyway.
Im currently using a Blackberry 8900 and am looking to upgrade to a desire on the 25th June.
On the Blackberry, switching off via the power menu button as I do at night shuts down the phone (so no-one can call etc) and on re-boot it starts back up more or less immediately and doesn't go through a full soft re-set as it would with a battery pull.
How does the shut down process work on the Desire ? if I switch it off does it shut down completely (which ive read can take a long time) like a battery pull or does it shut down in a similar way to my Blackberry as explained above.
I switch my mobiles off at night as I don't want calls ,emails etc to come through (yes I know I could probably switch all data off and still leave the phone on but prefer to simply switch off), but I don't want to do this if it will take minutes to shut down and more importantly minutes to boot back up again because im effectively doing a soft re-set every night !
Any explanations would be appreciated.
Cheers.
