GAH! doubletwist

i dont know if this was your problem but i was having trouble syncing using double twist. they would say they were synced but when i went to the music player and they wouldnt show up. my problem was that the stock player isnt great so i downloaded meridian player and it showed/found all the music that the stock player didnt show. idk if that will help with your problem or not.

Bump. Am I really the only one who has this problem?

The iPhone is really kicking this thing's ass in this department: it is really, really nice to just be able to auto-add or remove songs as I rerate them, etc. On here, I'd have to memorize any song I realized I do or don't like and then manually delete it or add it.

Help!

Have you tried telling the developers how bad it sucks and seeing if they could help you? doubleTwist Community

I'm guessing many here aren't running DoubleTwist... For one thing, it seems to be heavy on the iTunes stuff (correct me if I'm wrong), and a lot of us don't mess with Apple in general, because we are on the Android platform (don't take any of that as a shot at Apple or their users, just making a general observation).

What do you use, though? Do you just drag and drop? I just want playlist support.
I use Mixzing. As far as PC connectivity is concerned, I have yet to dock the thing... I typically just access an ftp server and drop crap onto my phone. If I want to mess with playlists, I just create them directly on the phone. I'm assuming you want to create your playlists on your PC... I haven't done that yet.

i too use windows media player (wmp) to sync but the only problem is it doesn't export the list itself just the music. which is what the op is also looking for. i have been hunting for a solution all day and still haven't found how to export the wmp lists. and making a playlist using the phone isn't an option when you have over 200 songs in just one playlist alone. i have 3 in wmp with close to 600 songs which arranges my music by decade and getting the lists themselves over to the phone would be nice.

double twist doesn't appear to be able to export the lists either from what i've read about it.

I have the same problem. I sync with windows media player and all the music showed up fine (make sure you use a good cable....mine kept freezing up...turned out it was the cable all along). THe playlist didn't show up in stock player, but the playlist files are there (my files--> playlists). I installed double twist on the phone and computer (but it refused to launch on my xp cumputer....), then all of a sudden, my playlists showed up in doubletwist and works perfect. THen I added some music to the playlists and added another playlist....synced with windows media player perfectly...all the songs are in the double twist library...but the new and revised playlists refused to show up. The playlist files in the playlist folder shows the correct songs and the additional playlist.
I have restarted the phone, uninstalled doubletwist and reinstalled....the same old playlists still show up, not the revised or new ones

I had the same problems as you. I contacted them, and it didn't help in the slightest.
Solution: Drop doubleTwist and go use the HTC Media Player. It is by far one of the best media players on the market(not technically on the market) or use the Cyanogen mod one. I am currently very happy with the Cyanogen mod media player, and I've found that there are many features doubleTwist is lacking(most being the same issues that the iPod app on the iOS has), that most other players do. I used doubleTwist for a while, it was great, the UI was great looking, it was fast, but it didn't do many things I wanted. First off was the lack of playlist editing. If I download an mp3 straight to my device, I want it on my playlist. This is where it fails the most for me. I also tried a very iOS like media app, but I left it because of it's downfalls, (being the iOS like UI). If you're worried about lockscreen controls, Android has it just as good as iOS. We've got this niftly little app called "WidgetLocker" that allows us to put widgets on our lock screens. That means more than just music controls (although right now I have only my media player widget, Pandora Widget, and Beautiful Widget small on it). So, drop doubleTwist. Get widgetlocker and your favorite media player other than doubletwist.
