Help Skype Out

So I have skype credit and on my old omnia I used Nimbuzz to call out with my skype credit, I can't seem to find that option on the android version, I know verizon have a skype program, but they say it will use my minutes to call anyting but skype with it. I want to use my skype out credit when using the program, its only used for int'll calls.

Can anyone help?

I know that Skype out uses either WiFi or cellular data "on my phone". When I make calls to the PSTN, my Skype credit balance is displayed for the duration of the call. Since I'm on the $3/mo Skype Out plan, the balance remains the same for domestic calls.

I don't see why Skype calls would use "Verizon cellular minutes", even if the Skype call is to the PSTN.

I have used Skype Mobil since the day I have received my Incredible.

Here is the deal:

Skype to Skype = free
Skype to International land line or mobil = Skype per minute charge to the country you are dialing
Skype text (SMS) = for some reason NOT available via Skype Mobil

None of these use any verizon minutes! I hope this anwsered your question. Also, if you get a skype call from an International number or via Skype to Skype, it will also be free and not use Verizon mintues. The call will be routed through Atlanta and will show up as a Skype call Atlanta.

So after reading what you say, and also finding this, i'm very happy, I can use Skype to contact my family back in england again, like I used to on my Omnia.

Basically just don't use on US calls and it won't touch our minutes.

it sucks..
I have skype credit and a 3.00$ a month plan for unlimited calls to us or canada with skype that i use at home with my ipot touch 3g but cant use it on my incredible... Not even with wi-fi

Yeah, I only use it to take advantage of calling my family in Europe for free, so never use it for calls within the US anyway. I am thrilled to have this on the go and can be in touch anywhere at anytime now.
