what is that one feature that wows you on the EVO so far? I know it's hard to pick just one

for me the Google Navigation with the Street View integration just does it. simply amazing.

Damn with so many its hard to choose one. But it will have to be 4G. True its not officially here in NYC, but I travel and I've seen what 4G can do and I love it. But since its not here yet, I would have to say right now the screen.

I say its the large screen. I love how well it renders web pages and other things. Everything is so up front and in your face. LOVE IT. EVO FTW

It would be a lot better if it allowed wifi. The palm pre allowed wifi so I don't get why they don't allow it on Htc handsets. Oh well.

My favorite thing is how perfect the size is. Big enough to be usable but nor so big that it is unwieldy.

And ShapeWriter is a lot of fun to use on it. In fact, this extra sentence is just so I can continue to use it!

Well if this was a thread about android specifically my answer would (obviously) be different. Since I've had other android devices, albeit nothing as good as this one, I'd have to say I'm surprised at how much I like the kickstand. Lol. Of course a kickstand would be nothing if it was a little puny screen, so I'll have to tie the kickstand with the 4.3 screen.

i have to say 4G...today i was driving on the freeway stream HQ youtube while stuck in traffic...the 4g was great for about 20 minutes until i got out of range...but my speeds were 4.5D 1.5U...made traffic a JOY!

My favorite features of the EVO? The fact that it's NOT as big as people say - it's actually really slim, solid, and pocketable. Build quality is over the top compared to my Pre. If Palm had contracted with HTC for their hardware, they would have done much better.

how/when does the streetview come into play? does it just happen on its own or is it a setting. is one place more likely to trigger it than another?

Not sure what's wrong with your EVO but my EVO does WiFi just fine. Even does the WiFi Hotspot great with no problems. I had 3 people using their laptops in my car, all connected to the Sprint network through my EVO on the way home from MN. Even picked up 4G in St Louis even though its not officially "on" in St Louis market until July.

I'd say the phone's greatest feature has to be either the rear speaker (amazing!), or the HDMI out. The HDMI out option was one of the features that made me as giddy as a school boy when I heard about this phone.

However, for Android OS, as a previous iPhone user this is important, I'd have to say the best feature would be working widgets on a desktop.

What!?!? U can navigate with street view on how do you do this?

click on the square with the little man on the screen or click on the destination square that shows the address. (you do have to have street view available in your area obviously)

It has to be the screen, but I use the kickstand a LOT more than I thought I would! The speed is just unreal. It is now quicker to get on most websites and get what I need than to walk into another room to sit down at a computer now. BIG difference between this and the hero.
