Hello,

I hope i'm not just being completely dumb here, but I just switched from a Blackberry to an Evo. I know on my BB there was a way to shut down the internet when it was not in use to keep the battery from draining. When I get online on my Evo I don't see where to actually close out of a session. I have just been hitting the home button, or back button. It gets me back to my home screen, but I'm not sure if this is actually turning the internet off. Can someone please let me know if I am doing this right, or is there another way?

Thanks!

Airplane mode would work, but it will turn off everything, including calls and sms.

I'd try adding a mobile network toggle to your home screen.

Long press then widget>settings>Mobile Network

Then you can turn your internet connection on/off whenever you want to.

What he said. Turning airplane mode on will also disable your cell network connection so you won't be able to receive phone calls so I don't think thats what you want.

OK....I'm really tech challenged! Long press what? The icon you add to your homescreen? Would that icon just be the internet icon? Please excuse my ignorance.
