Hello all, I've put together a flashable stock ROM for the MetroPCS Avant. This could be useful if you messed something up and dont have a nandroid backup and you don't feel like having to reflash the whole firmware with Odin and then reinstall TWRP or CWM.

This is not a flashable update. If your phone hasn't already been updated to G386T1UVU1ANK3 then WiFi won't work on this ROM.

THIS ROM IS 100% FACTORY STOCK FOR METROPCS ONLY AND IS NOT PRE-ROOTED.
FLASHING THIS ROM OVER TOP OF THE T-MOBILE FIRMWARE WILL CAUSE WIFI TO QUIT WORKING.
I didn't include root because pre-rooting the rom will also keep WiFi from working and it is very easy to flash SuperSU after flashing the ROM.

It is important to turn the phone back on and let it sit for a few minutes before doing your setup. If you are going to root It is necessary to let the phone boot up at least once and sit for a few minutes before rebooting back into recovery to flash SuperSU and then doing your setup after rooting.

I am not responsible for thermonuclear war, the death of your pet, or anything that may happen to your phone. You are choosing to flash this at your own risk. I have tested this ROM thoroughly and have not had any problems with it.

Instructions:
[1] Factory reset
[2] Flash ROM
[3] Reboot phone
[4] Let it sit for a few minutes
[5] Flash SuperSU for root
[6] Set up your accounts and apps

SuperSU flashable zip

I have a question, if I flash this will it factory reset my downloaded apps and settings or will its stay the same
It only formats the system and cache partitions. If you flash it over the stock ROM without doing a factory reset it will undo any changes you have made to the system partition. Your settings and downloaded apps will not change.

I heard kingroot has spyware becaus it connects to a server to root. And root becomes disabled if there's no internet connection.
Kingroot doesn't have spyware, but it still sucks to no end.

It's designed to never uninstall, never be replaced, and to protect its installation of unnecessary apps.

It's the opposite of what rooting is all about - choice.

You may have situations where you must use it, be sure ahead of time that you have a working exit strategy to SuperSU, and removal of the King bloatware.

Here, you do.

Also, if kingroot is your only option try the oldest version first and work your way up from there. The newer the version of kingroot you use, the harder it is to get rid of. With the newest version of kingroot(v4.5), even when you use the option to unroot, it only uninstalls the app while leaving the binaries behind. This poses a very big problem when you have a device with no firmware that you can download and flash, and no alternative way to root. I have no idea how they do it but kingroot write protects the entire /system/xbin folder and I can't even remove the kingroot binaries with a recovery zip, twrp file manager, or root adb shell through twrp. I think that kingroot should be banned from XDA until they put an end to these shenanigans and allow the users to decide what superuser app they want to use.

If that is the case. Can you just wipe system and reload from a backup? This sounds like spyware to me.

Still. That seems too brutal.
There's nothing to figure out.

They want to protect their Purify bloatware.

That's absolutely unmitigated bullshit.

Clean Master and Battery Doctor, both from Cheetah Mobile in China, built their business on using malware to get Clean Master installed.

Neither works at all, by design it's impossible for them to, but the gullible have swallowed it hook, line, and sinker - and now their crap is built-in to Samsung top end phones.

And the King developers want a piece of that action.

It's really simple, follow the money, that's always the goal of bloatware - and excuse me for saying so, but this is the second time I've had to explain that it's a bloatware scheme. :D (Just having fun busting with that last little bit, don't take it personally. ;))

So basically clean master and Battery docter or "cheetah mobile" is a hoax?

I did all the steps and the wifi still will not turn on. I factory reset then flashed this rom then rebooted and at the beginning of the setup I waited a few minutes then I turned phone off and went into recovery flashed supersu for root then rebooted and tried to turn on wifi in the setup and it still wouldn't work. I did the setup without wifi and tried to toggle and still didn't work. Tried factory resetting too. Any idea how any of you got wifi to work exactly?
