I used this tar to restore my phone to stock, how do I go about rooting/setting it up to install ROM's again? What guide would you recommend?

Fire up Odin untick reboot then Odin philz recovery. When that's done pull battery then boot into philz. Then in philz settings reroot system. After that reboot and get SuperSU from playstore.

I currently have a Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3, model SPH-L710. I previously tried to root it and install Cyanogen but I clearly goofed something up. Whenever I try to apply the OTA update that the phone has been downloading & notifying me about, it bombs out with a 'Status 7' error. I believe I previously had ROM Manager installed but something got screwed up (the application no long appears on the phone, but it still seems to think it's present). I do currently have the phone rooted with SuperSU. Will this ROM get my phone back to pure factory defaults, no matter if it's been rooted in the past? I don't even really need to root it again, I'd just like to be able to apply the latest updates. Am I good to go with the ROM in this post? I've used ODIN before so I should be OK with that part.

(Forgive me for the basic questions but I just want to be clear before I install the ROM so I don't brick this thing completely)

Sorry, I entered that wrong. My device model is showing as SPH-L710T, Software Version L710TVPU0ANF4. Does that mean the file in this thread does apply to my phone?
Yes that's what its for, this will put you back out of the box stock no root. Its simple to Odin philz after and gain root back.

I know this thread has already died, but I flashed CM 11 to my GS3 L710-T and the mobile data radios turned off. Then I found a stock .zip for the L710( non-triband ), and flashed that using CWM and now my wi-fi simply will not turn on. I place the slider to the right, and it remains grayed out and immediately returns itself to the "OFF" position. Now I've downloaded this image and I've placed it into the "AP" section of ODIN 3. The screen has been on the same part of the process for a really, really long time now. Can somebody please help me? I feel like I can re-root after I get back to stock, but I NEED my wi-fi to work.
