I want to root this device which is in version 4.4.4 and I'm not sure if, for example, a same version of a samsung tablet's rooting procedure can be done with this tablet. I've done rooting once with a samsung phone so my knowledge, specifically about requirements is limited.

I'm rooting this device because the internal storage is only 1gb and I wish to do symbolic linking so it can use the external storage (Hearthstone needs 1gb+ of internal storage for unpacking).

What do I need to know if this tablet can be rooted with the same procedure as other more common devices?
P.S. the tablet has 2 hard buttons (power and back button), idk if that information would be of help.

You can try the universal one-click root tools and apps like Towelroot, Kingroot.apk, Framaroot..... but it's down to luck whether they'll work and they won't unlock your bootloader or install custom recovery so be careful what you do if you do gain root access
