Looking to develop listener for Galaxy s5

Hello,

First, I apologize if there already exists a thread for this but I couldn't seem to find one in a general search. I am looking to write a listener that detects when an image has been taken by the s5 that then sends out the image to an email address or an ftp location. My train of thought is as follows:

listen for file structure change to a specific directory (where images are stored - DCIM?)
Get the newest file and send it to either an ftp location or email address as attachment.

I'm not looking for this to be written for me...just to be pointed in the right direction. I sincerely appreciate any help that can be given. Thanks,

Jonathan Carr

Welcome to Tasker.

This is a good place to get answers. I suggest that you install Tasker and "get your feet wet". The best approach is to start out with a simple task to do something and grow into larger efforts.

What you will find is that there are hooks into your device that can be monitored and set that you may not have known even existed.
