A simple, no-features, lock screen app

Hi all.

My phone has the nasty habit of doing things in my pocket. Before I started trying lock screen apps, I had butt dialed 911 twice. I have tried hi-locker and SlideLock (which i currently use), but they still have features that are accessible from the lock screen, which I can't turn off. SlideLock has a pull down menu that allows my flashlight to be turned on from my pocket. Hi-locker would frequently access apps (I'm not sure how) so when I pulled my phone out of my pocket, I'd be in some app.

I've tried numerous searches with different terms, but every list, or app I find seems to be about being able to do more from the lock screen, not less.

What I want is a lock screen app that is (or has the option to be) just a lock screen. No notifications, no widgets, nothing but a way to unlock the phone. No possible way to turn on or access any apps unless my magic pocket manages to turn on the screen and put in the right passcode. Preferably, I'd like an app that uses the 3x3 dot matrix unlock, as that's my preferred code right now, but I'm fine with a passcode or some other way to lock the phone as well.

I would assume that the build in System Lock would meet your needs.

There is an issue with some phones in that they don't handle the proximity sensor very well (in some cases not at all).

I use a Droid Turbo 2 and do not use the scree lock.
I have a simple Tasker profile that monitors the proximity sensor.
If the sensor is covered and I am not on a phone call it issues a System Lock and the screen turns off.
Touching the power button brings it back.

There are some apps (like the camera) where this activity gets in the way so I added the capability to toggle this facility off and on.

What motivated me to create this is that wit out it I am required to manually turn off the screen before putting it in my pocket. With it it is automatic. It doesn't "wake up" on its own while in my pocket.

With no third-party additions, does covering your proximity sensor turn the screen off?

From what I can tell, the proximity sensor just doesn't work very well on the s5 active...

In the case of the Droid Turbo 2 it was just not enabled to blank the screen when it is triggered. My guess is that it is the same problem you are having.

When it is enabled and it is in your pocket ... it stays off ... here it is ...

Profile: tlaProx
State: Proximity Sensor
State: Not Call [ Type:Any Number:* ]
Enter: tlaProxEnter
A1: System Lock
