Need Help With MXQ Slow Internet

Kodi plug-ins on an MXQ? Could be that they're trying to poll and stream data from servers in China. And depending on where you are in the world, might not be very fast at all, and that's why they're buffering. Like if you were in Hong Kong or something, the defaults would have probably been OK. Have a look at the Kodi plug-in configurations and settings. What plug-ins are they? Have you tried refreshing the sources?

This is the key...

I'm in Thailand and when I test my internet speed against servers in Thailand it's super-duper.
Not nearly so fast when I test my internet speed against servers in the UK or USA where I want to stream stuff from.

It does seem as though your box has a bottleneck somewhere as your laptop speeds are what they should be and clearly your box is lagging a long way behind that. But even so, these speeds should be fast enough to stream content. The problem (as mikedt suggests) does seem to be with sources.

How does the YouTube app for KODI stream? That's the real test.
If you can't get YouTube to stream with these speeds then it seems to be a local (software/hardware) problem.

What are the upload speeds on the Android TV box?
If these are throttled it can have an impact on your downloads.

I am facing a similar problem, I just brought this beast from amazon
https://www.amazon.ca/MatricomⓇ-G-B...3&sr=8-5&keywords=android+tv+box+fully+loaded
I am using a basic DSL connection from Acanac
https://www.acanac.com/quebec-high-...ckage=fibre6-0-8&term=12&usage=Unlimited-Bell.
The problem is that youtube videos are taking too much time to buffer and to load in the android box, but I can load the same quality video on my laptop and PC without much buffering. My friend is a technician and told me to upgrade to cable internet from DSL. I believe that the problem is with the TV box may be a misconfiguration. Anybody have any idea about this issue.

Do i need to manually configure the TV box?

Hi, Runnerman.

What do you want to do? Improve internet connection speeds?
If you are connected and the internet is working then there aren't many more options available to you to 'tweak' it.

It's either a hardware issue that no amount of tweaking can fix or it's the internet connection that is at fault.
