    Root Device can't find update

I received a notification of an update from T-Mobile this morning. I accepted it and the device appeared to download 15.4 mb of something. I was informed that the device would reboot and the update would take 10 minutes. I pressed "OK" and the reboot started. I ended up at a "CWM Recovery...

Root Recent 2.3.6 update and battery life

My phone is a rooted Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G. T-Mobile US recently pushed out a minor OS update, to 2.3.6. Some people say that this is an indication that ICS is coming soon, but I have no idea about that. Anyway, prior to this update, my "idling" battery drain rate was under 3% per hour. That...

Help sought: No launcher, can't boot

I have a Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G, running Android 2.3.6, but I don't think this question is all that device-specific. If it is, someone will let me know. I'm pretty new to Android. This phone is rooted. I didn't install any custom ROM, however. I rooted it only to be able to use SetCPU and...

    Storage question

I have a Samsung Galaxy Blaze and I'm fairly new to Android. I'm using a 16 GB micro sd card, on which I've put about a gig of music so far. I notice, however, that photos, podcasts, etc, don't get saved to the card but to the limited internal USB storage. Why is this and how can I change it?

Two questions about the MyTouch 1.2

Two things I'd like to know about the MyTouch 1.2: 1. I've seen mention, here and elsewhere, of its "improved keyboard," compared to the original MyTouch 3G. I hope someone will explain clearly what's better about it. "Improved" doesn't really say much. 2. I'd like to know if the camera is...

    Will probably wait for N1

I wrote in my intro, ("On the brink") that I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade to the T-Mobile MyTouch 1.2 now, or stay with my BB Curve 8900 and see how I feel about the Nexus 1 in April, which is when I'll be eligible for the discount price. Makes me wonder if the reason why T-Mobile is...

    On the brink

Hello. I've owned a BB Curve for two years, and I like it. Before that, I had a Danger Sidekick for over four years. I liked it, too, but eventuallly left because of constant service issues. I've been with T-Mobile since 2003, and I'm not really looking to change carriers. My contract is up...
