2 Samsung Droid phones cant connect to home WIFI at same time

OK this is strange and if I hadnt seen it, replicated it, and replicated it again I wouldnt believe it myself.


Situation

1. Wife has a Samsung Transform Ultra
2. I have a Samsung Conquer
3. Each phone can connect to the home wifi network individually
4. As soon as my wife connects her Transform to the network, my Conquer looses wifi connectivity and my wifi icon changes from green to white

Troubleshooting steps completed

1. Checked the router and saw several old wifi connections
2. Removed all wifi devices and added my Conquer as the first device
3. Checked the surrounding networks to makes sure the channel was not being used by any other network. The channel is clear
4. Replicated the issue several times. Each time the same behavior occurs.

Please tell me someone has an idea. I am waiting for a replacement on my Conquer but I really dont think that this will solve the issue.

My immediate thought is that both phones are trying to use the same static IP but I don't know how you would check

My wife and I both have Samsung Transform Ultras, a laptop, and a kindle.. all can connect to wifi at the same time. It sounds like maybe both are using the same ip address. Download the app Fing from the playstore and with it you can see the ip addresses of everything connected to your network.
