Looking for a free 2nd number to use for my side gig...
Anything out there?

Freetone.
Not happy with any of them.... TIA
OK, I think I'm all set for now.
Installed Google voice as a new 2nd number and seems to be working fine...
Still, if anyone has any comments or suggestions, please post...

I've been using Google Voice for like 10 or close years, hasn't let me down yet. The app leaves a bit to be desired, they've updated it a lot over the past few years so it's much better now. The service is solid and it can be used on practically any computer with just a quick sign-in. I think it's great.

I hope it's a good Google number. I got a Google voice number when they first came out and had every collection agency in the the states calling me. Then when a Police Sergeant called me, it took a lot to convince him it was free number from Google and I'm not Johnny Jones. Then I dumped the Google voice number.

Thanks for the feedback guys!
I use a call blocker with my regular phone number, so I'm not sure if it'll work the same when I get calls from the Google voice number?
I guess I'll just have to monitor calls and see what happens...

Depends on how you're set up I think. If you've set it to use your carrier only for calls it might but if you have it set it to prefer data/WiFi it probably won't. I could be totally wrong though.
