As a result of the Desire having limited internal storage, I have recently been experimenting with moving apps to and from the SD card.

    A few questions:

    1) When moving an app to the SD card, does everything to do with the app move. Eg. The app and all the data?

    2) Where on the SD card is the app stored? I couldn't find the apps on my SD card when using Astro view its contents.

    3) Can you move an app too and from the SD card as much as you like with no problems?

    4) When Angry Birds is stored on my phone it says it's around 13MB, yet when I move it to the SD card it's under 2MB. Why is this? Where does the rest of the data go?

    5) If an app is stored on the SD card, do any updates for the app automatically store on the SD card as well? Will they then move with the app if/when it's moved in future?

    Cheers in advance.

Thanks for the response, mate. I will try out #5 and report back.

In response to your answer to question 2, I opened .android_secure and it said it was empty. I assume that's why it's "secure"? :D

Just to add a question to this thread.

If I changed my SD card and had apps installed on the SD would it still be a simple drag and drop over to the new one or would it involve un-installing and re-installing?

    Ta.

Not sure about the secure thing, but it would make sense.

SD card on froyoa2sd, not sure, never used it, but you could try it as you still have teh original sd card, if froyo boots theres no harm done.

If you have enough internal memory, move back to phone insert new sd and move back to (new) sd.
