I have accidentally deleted the above, on my phone it was the middle icon, inbetween the phone and browser icons. it took me to all my apps but because ive accidentally deleted it i can only access apps that are on my home screen.
How do i go about restating it.

    What phone do you have?

Is your phone rooted? I would think you would only be able to do this on a rooted phone.

    Hi,
Its a galaxy ace and yes it is rooted, i can get to root browser but dont know exactly what the app is called, it was like a big square made of smaller squares

Edit: ive got it back now by creating new custom shortcut.

Do you have a nandroid backup? Restoring a backup would be the easiest way. Or, if you are running a custom Rom, reinstall the Rom.

Got it back by following these instructions :

You have to recreate the app drawer shortcut. This can be done by pressnig on the home screen for a few seconds, you will get a popup screen, choose custom shortcut, then click on pick your activity, launcher actions, open/close app drawer, press ok. This should create a shortcut for the app drawer on your home screen. Just drag this new app drawer icon to its correct location.

Thanks. Using your instructions I got my icon back. Took a slightly different route. Instead of choosing custom icon I chose Nova Actions, then from the next menu I chose App Drawer. Wouldn't have found my way without your post. By the way, my phone is a Galaxy Ace 2 x and it is not rooted , but I still managed to accidentally delete the app drawer icon!?

To all those who are saying this is only something that can happen on rooted phones, I would like to point out that on every 3rd party launcher I have used (apex/nova/etc.) it is possible. In many 3rd party launchers, the app drawer button is simply an icon that can be moved/deleted as the user wishes.

To get it back, the person simply needs to to go add a new icon to their homescreen, and use nova/apex actions to put another app drawer button on their homescreen.

    Cheers.

Spot on. I have a friend who found her phone/dialer icon was opening the app drawer instead of the dialer app (she let's her toddler tap randomly on the screen). With those custom launchers, just about EVERYTHING can be tweaked. After all, it's part of their appeal.
