(Hope this is in the right place)

So let me try to give as much info as possible....

Huawei Ascend on Cricket, 2.1 update1 (rooted w/z4 root)
Deleted safe-to-delete bloatware with Titanium Backup and a few other things that i don't use.

I've been rooted for about a week now, no issues. Downloaded Barnacle, PDAnet, and setCPU. Still no issues after that. Then all of a sudden, about 5 days later, my screen starts lagging like crazy, but only after i unlock my phone (with the pattern or with the slide bar). It takes up to 8-10 seconds sometimes. The desktop and icons come up, but the screen doesn't react and the hard buttons on the bottom are also ineffective. If i just leave it go, it gets worse and worse until it tells me Canvas is not responding WAIT or FORCE CLOSE. But if i cycle power, the problem is gone instantly, and the desktop icons react rocket fast again. But after about 7 to 8 hours, the problem returns. Rather than reseting my phone twice a day i'm trying to find out what is causing the problem.

I went in to the "running applications" folder to try and find the cause but nothing is running that, in my opinion, shouldn't be. And i also deleted barnacle and PDAnet with no luck, problem persists

Any ideas?? Please and thank you... Once again this is the error message
Activity canvas (in application canvas) is not responding

Edit: Also this happened just after i changed some battery saving setting, but i don't thihnk they are realated because i just turned off GPS,Wifi, refresh, and Bluetooth

Does anyone have ANY ideas? I even used Titanium backup PRO to freeze canvas and just use Launcher Pro, and last night in the middle of the night, i got the same error but instead of saying "canvas", it said "Launcher pro not responding". My alarm didn't go off and i was 2 hours late for work today. My only option for now is to get a real dedicated alarm clock, but that still doesn't help my phone. Please any suggestions are appreciated

Make sure SetCPU isn't set to decrease your computer cycles to a really low amount for some reason. I had to set to the lowest setting whenever the screen was off, and it took FOREVER to get it going smoothly again after I would wake it up.

Also possibly run Auto-task killer, there might be something running in the background that has a memory leak that is slowly slowing down your phone. Auto-task killer will periodically close any non-essential programs running.

Thanks for the reply, i tried the task killer method and found nothing. Then i deleted ATK because it's just about the worst thing going for Android right now. I am fairly certain it is related to setCPU but i'm not sure completely what it is, but i have a good idea. I uninstalled setCPU and am running some tests, which take about 8-12 hours, and so far so good. In my research i've heard that there can be problems when all priorities are set equal. And they are set equal at 50% by default. I'll keep this updated atleast for informational purposes.
