Root After rooting the phone?

No. Like doogald said you don't want to extract it that is the same as unzipping it. If your using astro long press the file, hit menu, select edit, move then hit the ..parent directory folder, hit menu, edit, paste.

If you are using Astro, there is also a "Home" button on the toolbar after you select "move". There is also a "multi" button. So, you can press "multi", select the vanilla tazz and google apps zip files until they are both highlighted, tap the "move" button, tap the "home" button (or you can tap the "up" button - they will both bring you to the same place), then tap the "paste" button in the toolbar.

Thanks for adding that about home and multi select.. I forgot about those buttons.. I don't use astro much anymore lol.
