Help All of my app force close when I do anything!

I have HTC incredible and out of nowhere it powered off. Then when I restarted it, all the app force close, all of them. I close them and they do it again. The app just keep forcing close over and over.

I have had this for about 2 months.

Did something short out and is it broken?

No, will I lose everything? Pictures, music, Apps?

You'll lose whatever is not on the SD card. If you have anything you want on the internal storage, you'd want to hook up to the PC via USB and transfer anything you want to keep to the PC for safe keeping. You'll lose apps but might be able to save a file using appbrain to retrieve them more easily.

And I'm not 100% sure where it's at on a stock phone since I've been running Roms for months and the menus are different. Menu > Settings > Privacy maybe? Idk, just poke around until you see the Factory Reset option.

The Factory Reset is Menu > Settings > SD & Phone Storage > Factory Data Reset.

There are two options - Reset Phone and Reset Phone and internal storage - which one should I use?

I guess I'd lean toward phone and internal storage although I guess you could try the "phone" option first and see if that clears it up. By the sound of things, it'd be a less intrusive option. Didn't even realize there was an option like that. BTW, what version of software are you on?

Yep. If you're having all those force close problems, I can't think of a better situation to try a hard reset. Can't hardly live with constant problems like that, sounds quite non-functional.

Ok, seriously, I know that this was a basic issue. It's not like I was trying to reverse a permament root. But your help here worked perfectly. I had to start over at day one with the phone but it works great now.
