Yesterday my phone was updated to Android 4.4.2
Today, while writing an email the phone rang and my screen changed to the incoming call screen saying it was from mom and pop. I answered the phone spoke with my mom then hung up and returned to my email that I was writing.
About a half hour later, I'm still writing the same email when the phone rings again. Again the incoming call screen comes up saying it is from mom and pop, so I answer it.
Only, it is not from mom and pop. It starts please do not hang up this is not a sales call. You have been referred to receive...
I hung up then the actual call number was displayed.
So, this pretty much means that there is a flaw either with the android update, perhaps Verizon wireless is the problem, or the actual callers have figured out how to disguise their incoming call as the previous caller.
If I have posted this in the wrong place please move it...
