Android Market Force Closes

All,

I noticed last week that the market was exciting and new on my Desire.

Anyhow, I tried to open the market last night and it immediately force closed.

Unsuccessful steps so far have been to:
Delete data/cache.
Uninstall the market.
Reinstall the 3.15 apk.

Still no joy. What do I do now?

Now you stay with your existing market and marvel at the fact it takes you at least half as long to navigate as the new market

I don't have a working market!

Whenever it tries to run it flashes up a force close box
for a split second.

did you uninstall the updates via manage applications?

In Manage Applications it just had 'Uninstall' so I did that.

Not at all rooted.

I don't know what's happened. If clear data has not worked after uninstalled, can only imagine factory reset will fix

What buttons are available in manage applications for market currently?

Oh, this is weird...

I had it uninstalled. Opened the application manager on your suggestion.

Buttons were: Launch, upgrade, Install.

So I installed it again. That worked and the old style market came up, maps, flash and Facebook started autoupdating (I'm sure I set them to manual update grrr).

I launched the market again a minute later and it has updated itself to the new market.

So far so good.. no idea what was going on there.
