Help Basic Stuff

New user of Sony ericsson here, i have just got my first smart phone & got an Xperia X10. I was just wondering how i got to use my own music track as my phone & message tone , instead of the preloaded ringtone, any help to a novice would be apprieciated thanks in advance.

Just mount the card on your computer and create a folder (I call mine "Ringtones") and dump your mp3's in there.

Un-mount the card and browser to the file with your file manager (I use Astro File Manager) and tap it.

It will open up in the Music program and then tap options and "Use as ringtone" should be right there.
