Temple run... my favorite..
If RPG is what you like, try Zenonia 4 or Zenonia 5.
Get one of these and you'll have no problems at all
It's a portable external battery pack for smartphones that lets you charge on the go
The Oz version looks pretty cool, but its not free. Even though 99cents isn't much and I'd say a pretty good deal for what could provide hours of time killing.
temple run 2, fruit sort, 100 doors and greedy spider are pretty good
-Contract Killer 2
-Call of Mini:Sniper
-SWAT End War
-Anger of Stick 2/3
-Raging Thunder 2
-Real Racing 3
If you like logic puzzles, give Lights of the Atlantis a try ;-)
My offline list:
Age of wind 2
Brothers in arms 2
Rise of glory
1941 frozen front
These games are mostly I played....
A subtle reminder is apparently needed:

Usually i would go for some puzzles on long flights like
-4 pics one word
i am really into tank fighting games at the moment If you are I would go for tank hero thats defenitely the best(150 levels i think)
-There's also "tank hero laser wars" (about 90 levels i think), the sequel to tank hero
-Last i tried"Tiny tank warfare" 100 levels and the worlds on that are better, like a combo of platformer and tank fighting.
Here is my collection of Offline Android games: https://plus.google.com/collection/IaGNd
Not all of these are free but all are worth the feature of offline play.
Nice use of Collections!
Thanks. I'm going offline for rest of the summer to save on my cable bill so I made myself a list of games that will work for me this summer. So far Chaos Rings 3 and Plants vs Zombies 2 have been the most enjoyable offline games I have explored. Mortal Kombat X seems to work well offline but I haven't played it enough to test if it does periodic online license checks. I will remove the appropriate titles from my collection at the end of the summer if I find out they stop working after a period of time.
One game that is on sale right now really stands out amoung the rest is SENTINAL 4 DARKSTAR
It's a tower defence game that features other RTS elements suchs as movable automated units and some pretty cool boss fights. The game has stunning 2D graphics and fast paced action.
I enjoyed Sentinel 3 - guess it's about time I gave number four a try.
World of Goo
EA SPORTS UFC
Two of my favorites are 3d Curveball and Atomic Attack. It looks like Dotdroid has changed the name and the gameplay to 3d Pang Ball, It looks the same but the gameplay has more options now. It seems 3d Curveball is no longer in the Play Store. Atomic Attack is still there and hasn't changed. These are very simple but highly addictive games.
Is asphalt 8 really offline? Because the last time I tried it, it attempted to do some sort of license check or version check whenever I loaded up the game.
Exsilium is a great offline action rpg that reminds me a FFVII CRISIS CORE. Its free, difficult and small download size. No stamina meters so you can grind endlessly. Health potions are readily available and you heal up at each save point. Melee and ranged weaponry.

you must try plants Vs Zombie
If you haven't tried Final Fantasy Tactics - War of the Lions in PSX you might want to get it on your mobile device.
I played this one a lot this summer. Super fun game. However I ran into a couple of bugs in the game that prevented progression. When a purple chocobo casts a spell the game crashes every time. Also make sure to save often because moving around the map causes random crashes.
FFVII is now out on iOS and I expect it will be released sometime next month for android. $17 game though.
You also have Unblock Me FREE, it can keep me entertained four hours.
