Help Brand New to Smartphone, Just got my Evo today plz help!!!

So I just picked up my Evo today and everything was going great, I had my contacts transferred from my old phone and also facebook gave me contact info for all my friends, someone told me to download 2.2 and when I did all my contacts from my old phone are gone and now facebook won't sync my contacts. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just found this site and hope you guys can help me out!

When I go to Settings-Accounts & Sync-Facebook for HTC Sense-Sync Contacts....NOTHING HAPPENS : (

i think that sync just pulls phone numbers off your facebook.

i've had to link each contact myself even though it suggests which one it is. just look at the top right where the link button is when you look at the contact. click that and select the correct friend.

if you didnt syc your old phone contacts with ur gmail account before hand they are gone

get your contacts on gmail then sync your phone to your gmail account.
