Help cant connect to my laptop Ad hoc wirless

Hi

i have a Galaxy S I9000 and cant find my laptop AdHoc wirless SSID, the phone just keep searching but cant find the AdHoc ESSID

my laptop OS is widnows 7 and my galaxy is Gingerbread 2.3.3

please any help to reslove and fix this problem and thanks

yeah , had same problem here
I also tested using a mac .. the phone detected the network but could not connect
[2nd test was after using Darky's rom with another wifi driver that was supposed to fix ad-hoc problem.. that could be the reason it showed]
so .. I have failed to connect to any ad-hoc so far
