Help Damaged lcd screen, replacement doesn't fit

Hey all,

I dropped my evo 4g and smashed the screen so I bought a new touch screen digitizer and a new lcd screen.

However, when I received the lcd screen replacement, I realized that it doesn't match the one in my evo 4g. Below is a photo of my damaged lcd screen (on the left) and the replacement (on the right.)

So what am I missing here??

me too, omg this is so frustrating, i got the same replacement and its too wide, idk wtf to do? if you find out plz let me know thx i will be searchings well

Hope this helps...I was searching Amazon for a replacement LCD screen and noticed that there are several listings for a "Narrow" LCD replacement.

Not sure if I can post a url. If you can't see the url then go to Amazon and search for "EVO LCD Narrow".

"wide" and "narrow" refers to the flex cable that plugs into the board in the phone the EVO 4G has two different size cables and there's no way to know which you have until you physically look at it..
