Help Deleting unwanted downloads. EVO4G

Hi: I'll start by saying I am very technology inept.

I have some downloads on my phone that I don't want. These are not apps. and not on the SD card. I deleted/reformatted the SD card and these downloads are still on the phone.

More specific, when I go to applications and then downloads this is where they are. A couple are fairly embarrasing and were forwarded to me.

Can they be removed without rebooting the phone back to original? The phone is still in original config.

have you tried long pressing the items and see if a menu comes up allowing you to delete?
