As we can't update the ROM ourselves and Motorola slow to the point of crawling with implementing updates. Do you think we will ever get 2.2?

I would certainly hope to get 2.2.

Motorola is not slow, they implemented the 2.1 update much faster than HTC.

We will eventually. The droid is getting it so we ill aswell. But it will most likely be gimped. And yes motorola is slow. Htc had a reason they had sense to optimize motorola didn't.

I was speaking to a Google rep yesterday about his service with out company, and through chatting Froyo came up. He said his Nexus is scheduled to get it next week, and droid soon after. So it is likely that once the droid gets it, there will be a version for the milestone soon after.
Then again, this employee didn't work directly with any Android development team.
