What movie files are supported on the droid? I have tried to grab my digital copies of movies from itunes and add them to my droid but they will not play. I read some stuff about the crackberry site with movies, but they seemed to have low res, id like to get some higher res movies that look super sharp on the droid. Any ideas and answers would be greatly appreciated, especially ones on how to get max res movies made for droids resolution.thanks

    mp4, 3gp

mp4 is the best supported format.

It is linux based so once VLC or TCPMP comes out everything will be supported.

The reason they don't work is probaby due to DRM. I encoded some movies for my Ipod video a long time ago and they play on my DROID.

so when you encode the movies you have stored in itunes that takes away the drm?
Ripped, downloaded, im just looking for the best resolutions. I guess some software allows you t0 rip your own movies to your chosen resolution.

Sorry, no, I thought you said you downloaded the movies from itunes.

My best guess is the DROID's screen res or smaller should be fine.

They are apple DRM'd, only hope of them ever working outside iTunes is to ask for a refund and get none DRM'd copies from another LEGAL source.
