Factory Reset

I need to do a factory reset for my HTC Evo - what is the most efficient way to save all my data to restore my phone post-reset?

I'm thinking about:

- Applications
- Photos
- Contacts? (Gmail may just handle this automatically? Is there anything resident to the device that I should consider?)
- Application data
- SD card data
- Bookmarks
- did I miss anything?

Any advice / tips / references of things to read would be appreciated.

Thanks

You can use Appbrain to sync your applications w/ gmail and restore them that way as well, your photo's are saved onto your sd card, which will not be deleted when performing the factory reset, gmail will handle your contacts, application data will be lost unless you're rooted and have titanium backup or mybackup pro, sd card data will be intact, bookmarks will be gone I believe.

Is your Evo rooted?
