hey, Evom, you still got the link for the VZW prl instructions?
I just used a verizon prl...went from 50 k down to 1m...is that not an option here?
I am exactly in the same situation and I even went to a verizon store but changed my mind at the last minute. I followed the link you provided to xda forums and read the instructions. Even though I was able to route my phone some time ago and am capable of flashing roms, kernels, fonts and other stuff, I found the instructions on PRLs a little above my level of tech knowledge. I was wondering if you could guide me in a less techie vocabulary to acquire that verizon PRL because I so love my EVO and doesn't want to leave the wonderful community of this forum. For one thing, I am unable to read my MSL using MSL reader because my phone freezes up when I start the app. Any help you can provide would be well appreciated. Thanks!
You cant compare plans. Verizon charges for everything..Hope you didnt get taken by a Sprint dealer!
well i get faster download speed and better customer service and pay the same for what i was getting at sprint as i do get now with VZW....VZW does not charge you for everything if you now how to work the system and get the deals that you can get plus my buddys a manager at the corp store so that helps lol....have fun with sprint as to know that sprint has lost....
just in the fourth quater last year lost...over 200,000 customers and 980 million bucks and 1/4th of their customers are using only boost mobile
sprint dont give you true unlimited data either as they throtle your data thats why everyone is making sure they have a hack in their roms for that
also want to say so VZW charges for everything like what dont give you free navigation who uses their sprints or VZW nav cause i know most use googles and what oyu get free sprint tv wow, cuase i know alot of people who use that and not hulu, anything else they dont care you for that you dont use and call bloatware that you want to take off your phone by rooting it?

Thanks, Evomattnc. I have rooted my phone and I am using Fresh 3.5... I have tried using MSL reader on 3 different roms but it always freezes up before showing my MSL. I'm gonna try the link you provided and if it does not work, I will call Sprint.
Statistics can be the biggest lies out there, and the sad part is people believe them...i can make a statistic say anything i want. Is your statistic true...? Maybe. I like when companies advertise how many users switched to their company that year, im always curious how many left them that year also...that sort of stuff...
hey, i heard that 4 million people left vonage last year. it must be true cuz i just now read it in an android forum!!
well since the statistic came from sprint and their webpage and their offical q4 earning reports i say i think i can go with its true but i dont with this whole arguement cause i orgnially came in this thread to see what was going on and then i stated from a post that someone said that VZW charged more and i made a comment now you guys that are sprint lovers or what not, might or might not be mad at me cause i get fast speeds better service for the same price, and proved a point who know but good day

Nobody was arguing with you, i said your stats may be true i just dont believe stats spouted in forums, thin skin much?
You arent getting faster speeds i bet, im pulling 1.x megs down and usually 1 meg up and still paying my paltry sprint unlimited data cost of what $59.99 for unlimited EVERYTHING...enjoy your vzw plan and your saved money and your droid x and have fun in those forums...good riddance.
Yeah you proved a point...that you dont know shit...
Sorry guys i dont usually get all keyboard tough but something about this guy rubs me the wrong way, maybe it was him jumping to an argument that i had not started, oh well, apologies to everyone else
EDIT: Yeah im talking 3g also...no carrier has 4g here
calling sprint and asking is easier...you need drivers and stuff for that link but OK...
I was able to get my MSL code by flashing Vaelpak. I am now back on Fresh. I downloaded the PRL but when I dial ##775# nothing happens. I also tried dialing ##775 and ##778 and hitting the CALL button but nothing. I did a full wipe, cache partion wipe and dalvik cache wipe when I was going back to Fresh from Vaelpak. However, I still have a nandroid backup of Vaelpak. what did I do wrong?
You may need the other epst 2.1...you can go to the original link, I think he had it there or try the prl thing in vaelpak. Then flash to fresh, it will stay
