Help GPS is not working well on LINEAGE OS

Was GPS working out OK when your Galaxy S10e was running its stock Samsung firmware? If yes, than that might indicate the LineageOS is the problem. Have you taken a look at the LineageOS site for any mention of GPS in your model being one of those 'work in progress' issues?
https://wiki.lineageos.org/faq
Otherwise, has this been a long-standing problem or one that just started recently? If it is just recently have you tried just restarting your phone? That often fixes a lot of one-off glitches that pop up. Another thing that might help is to install this 'GPS Status & Toobox' app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.eclipsim.gpsstatus2&hl=en_US&gl=US
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/eclip...-status-toolbox-11-0-307-release/#description
It's a handy compass app too but in this situation in the app's Settings menu there are three utilities to use -- Compass Calibration, Calibrate Pitch, and roll, and Manage A-GPS state. Try that and see if that cleans up your GPS issue.

But all that's just software stuff. While it's more likely to be software rather than hardware, just in case this is a matter where the GPS module itself is failing, try this. Install this 'AIDA64' app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.finalwire.aida64&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/finalwire-ltd/aida64/aida64-1-90-release/#description
Install the app and then temporarily disable WiFi, mobile data, and Location. Then start the AIDA64 app, scroll down to the Sensors option, and tap on it. In the resulting window should be a listing of the various sensors in your S10e. By disabling Location you're negating any app or background service from interfering. Different sensors should be changing values in real-time when you move your phone up or down a few feet or spin around. Focus on GPS-related sensors so look for ones that have things like gyroscope or rotation vector in their naming. You should be seeing the shown numbers alter slightly while your phone is in motion. If not, that indicates a potential hardware problem.

hello and thanks
the problem was the same with devices i've used prior to this one also which also ran lineage os..
like my pixel 3 or my xiaomi a1. the same there..

i haven't used the s10e with the stock firmware to test for location functionality but i guess it worked like all the other stock firmware that i had.

i guess it should be supported and maybe i have not configured it correctly....

i've tried the lineage os chat for support but i felt a lot or unkindness there. when i asked about the gps they didn't knew exactly how to solve it or didn't offer any answer the second time i asked.

it is a long standing problem with all my other devices running lineage os. actually, i've never succeeded to operate location well on any of the devices. i've not tried to check it with my xiaomi a1 which as gapps on it but will try to check soon.

restarting doesn't helps

i will try the apps you mentioned..

i forgot to mention earlier. waze and moovit are installed with aurora. perhaps i need to change some settings in aurora?

thanks

i think i connected and published my last message with a previously used user name. but it is me..

love from israel to all

edit..
i want to let you know that using my xiaomi a1 with lineage {has gapps} did worked well with location.....
so perhaps the problem is occurring because i'm using aurora without google play..

can i fix it some how? i don't want gapps on my main device..
