I am new to this site so bear with me if I appear naive. I have my first smartphone, a Samsung Galaxy Apollo. It is great but I am confused about GPS. Do I have to have Wifi or Cell Internet connection in order to use GPS? If I turn GPS ONLY on then Google maps will not find a location, but if I also turn on Wifi it will. I have downloaded a number of apps that are supposed to improve GPS connectivity but none of them seem to find GPS satellites whether internet is turned on or not:thinking:.
