GPS Question

Forgive me if this info is posted somewhere. I tried searching and it doesn't allow 3 letter (GPS) searches and if I added any words it ...well, ya know...

My question is this - Can i create a route on my GPS or even download/transfer one from my computer? I ride back roads on my motorcycle and would like to set up specific routes to follow on my phone if possible. My phone is stock. I'm a newb. Rather keep it that way. Also, since I'm a newb, please be specific.
