Hand swipe

Hi I beleive you can swipe your hand over the S4 then it turns on and displays a status etc - how does one go about doing this please?

Menu, settings, my device, motions and gestures,, air gesture, quick glance slider to on

Hi philsworld, and welcome to Android forums!

I believe this is accomplished by going into settings, clicking on "my device", and then choosing the "motions and gestures" setting, then make sure that you set the "air gesture" toggle to show the green "on" position.

And the device has to be on a flat surface, it won't work while you're holding it.
