Help Has anyone ever had this happen to them?

I just got this phone its an original droid and i don't know the history of it but at top corner of the screen there is a half circle that dose not work anyone know what may cause this?

Looks like the screen might have been cracked from a drop and you're getting bleed through. It might get worse over time or just stay like it is.
