help an app is asking to erase my SD card to be installed

I'm not sure what an SD card is or if I have one I have a HTC vivid straight from the store but I think it is the thing the photos are stored on what do I do do I give permission for it to erase my SD so it can install or no please help I want this movie app for my kids it is called crackle. Thank you

There is an external sd card and internal sd card, your phone should be able to use both. At this point I wouldn't erase anything, especially the internal sd card memory.

As far as installing Crackle, it should install to the internal sd card and it shouldn't be suggesting to erase anything.

Hopefully someone else with more experience with Androids can offer better advice.
