I just got a nexus and need a step by step guide on what to do to get the 4.0.4 update i am not rooted nor unlocked and need instructions on how to do this also if that is required to install the 4.0.4 update. Thank you in advance.

Then depending if you are on verizon, just look around for 2 minutes and you'll be able to find links to the 4.0.4 update.

yes i am on verizon. if i am not going to mess up the phone then unlock and root dont bother me i just dont have a clue on how to do it. i am ok with computers and tech but i am no genious in those fields by know means. i had the nexus when it first came out buit returned it for the razr because of reception issues but i am not fond of the razr so i got another nexus today since the 4.0.4 update has came out and is suppose to fix the reception issues.
