Root Help!!! Vibrate not working properly after 2.2 leak

I was on 2.1 stock, did the leaked ota and then the 2.2 leak. Everything is working great but I've noticed vibrate is not working for notifications. It seems to work for haptic feedback and on calls BUT apps like gmail/messages/chompsms/others don't vibrate at all even if it's enabled.

What the hell do I do? Any ideas?!??!

Vibrate works fine in Gmail. I had to enable it after updating (2.2).

I was having the same ridiculous problem with no vibrate on messages as well. I went into the sound settings, had it to always, even did a hard reset. After the reset there was no change... until. I opened the messaging app, clicked the menu button, scroll all the way down to the vibrate menu, then change that to always. Pain in rear, but it works now.
