Root Help??

i am new to this whole android thing. I am getting a hero from sprint next sunday and was looking into to it. I have some questions. what is Sprint Hero (CDMA). Is that the phone i am getting next sunday?? Also for right now i just want to be able to put apps on my external memory card. Do i have to root it to put apps on my external memory card?? also is it hard to use the Pre-Kitchen 0.2.?? Does anyone have a video on how to use it??

Yeah, the CDMA hero is the sprint one. It's slightly different to the GSM hero the rest of the world uses, particularly w.r.t. rooting the phone.

As a result, you arent going to get much help here cos we're all using the GSM hero. There's a sprint specific forum (with its own rooting subforum) here.
