Evening, I see a lot of new people here who have rooted who have put a new rom on there phone but have issues with booting, these are a few of the possible reasons I've learnt along the way of my Android journey.

Q-Help, I've put a new rom on my phone but it won't boot!

Most Common answer is "Did you wipe everything? Factory reset, Dalvick, cache?
I've found over the past two years that this solves most of booting issues.

Unless maybe it's a big Sense ROM that requires a partition on your SD card.
Is it partitioned? If so, did you do it in windows that wasn't running a VM running Gparted?
If so it's probably not partitioned right at all.
See the guide that is stickied by SUroot to learn how to do it properly, windows just doesn't make Linux partitions properly.

Q-Help, my phone used to work but I changed my memory card and now it doesn't!

See the previous answer.

Q- My phone worked until I restored Data via Titanium Backup.

This isn't as popular but still happens,it's because data from one rom isn't always compatible with data from other roms.
For example, restoring data from a Sense rom to an AOSP ROM.

I'm sure there's more, but I can't think of any atm, if you can think of any, post em and I'll add them.

I'd like this just to be a quick FAQ for new people.
