How to get rooted phone on U.S. Cellular?

U.S. Cellular has now supported smart phones for past year or so. However there lineup lacks greatly and I'm wanting more. Is there anyway in which i can purchase an unlocked phone knowing it will work with U.S. Cellular? I'm just curious if it will work on U.S. Cellular since it's CDMA, and Verizon is as well.

I know in the world of electronics there is a way to do almost anything, and I'm hoping getting an unlocked phone on U.S. Cellular is possible. It's the best coverage up north, and if only i could put the best phone with it..
