Help Interesting software version list..

I notice that one of the blogs out there quite often references PTCRB, which is apparently some kind of testing and certification company that Sony uses for testing updates.

They've got a search facility, so I looked up the X10 Mini & Mini Pro, and got the following info about software versions they've been testing:

It's weird how 1.2.A.1.3 got certified before 1.1.A.0.13. I wonder which one of those versions we'll see next, when it'll be, and what it'll change. Exciting!!

That's wierd I just an X10 Mini (not pro) and I'm running 1.1.A.0.8 after updating last night.

I got a new game roller coaster and a backup utility after the update.

Yea when i ran the update the version changed to 1.1.A.0.8 as well which was around 2-3 days back - i've also got the mini (not the pro) -

Sorry to break in on this topic, but what apps do you use for backup and restore?
The contacts and messages for sure needs backup (and probably is best to use the SE tools provided).
But what about other apps and home replacements? Do you keep the install apk files or what?

I'm on 1.0.A.1.38 at the moment (regular mini)
And hope that an update will fix some of my "bugs".

I got the same stuff as sublow after the update - the roller coaster game and a backup utility which backs up call logs / sms / system settings etc etc to the memory card and allows to restore etc -And i just went through my app list again and saw "NeoReader" as well - hadn't seen it before - think it popped up after the update along with the other 2 apps - i might be wrong but yea hadn't seen it before - I don't keep the install apk files after an installation - I use Tag Home instead of the default one - (Sorry if the questions were not directed at me - responded coz i thought you're asking me!)

I have NeoReader already (1.0.a.1.38 rom)

I use tag home aswell.
Ok to get the backup/restore tool, but need that one before taking this rom update

So, basicly I'll need to visit the market and re-download all apps and reconfigure them...

Does the pc software version affect what firmware version you get?

My pc companion version is 2.00.146 production 5.1., got it from online update.
The one on the phones SD card was 2.00.115
Online they got version 2.00.142, strange.

The Update Service software online is 2.10.7.15

I still can't get any newer firmware then 1.0.a.1.38.

And, since I'm on the old firmware I've no software to backup the mms (only sms).
Any tips on how to do that?

I am in Asia right now - and so far - i've been updating the firmware of mine using softwares from the U.K. and as a result i end up with the firmware update versions that are being used by U.K. - but i guess it also depends on the region that your in and stuff - have you tried using pc update software from some other region ?
