Having a challenge using my Verizon.net email account. It seems if I download my emails on my laptop they disappear from my phone. Anyone have any suggestions

Most webmail configurations have an option for "leave copy of message on server" (or words to that effect. If the option is not selected, it will delete the message upon download to the device. You must have the option set incorrectly on your laptop (possibly because you added the phone access later, and never noticed it until then).

Is the mail account set up as a POP3 on either device? You'd want to have them both set up as IMAP for the mail to stay on both devices until it's deleted on one of them.
